On Thursday, November 2, 2023, First Lady Mellisa Santokhi-Seenacherry had a bilateral conversation with the First Lady of the Republic of Türkiye, who is also Chairman of the Advisory Board of Eminent Persons on Zero Waste of the UN Secretary General, Emine Erdoğan. During this conversation, they discussed how to further promote the zero waste initiative within the Caribbean in general and in Suriname in particular.
