At the invitation of the Vrije School, first lady Mellisa Santokhi-Seenacherry was allowed to read the story of Little Red Riding Hood and the angry wolf to the children of kindergarten A on Friday 27 January. We all know the story of Little Red Riding Hood and the bad wolf and all the children listened attentively while it was being read. Some parts of the story she illustrated with a picture. That made it even more exciting for these smart kids. As you can see in the pictures, it turned out to be a fun reading day for both the first lady and the children. Reading is good for brain development; it increases your vocabulary and makes you a better writer. Therefore, it is important that children learn to read from an early age. Let’s read more together and continue to encourage our children to develop themselves.
