Today, March 30, has been declared the International Day of Zero Waste by the United Nations. The aim of this day is to raise awareness of waste management and to promote and highlight sustainable consumption and production patterns on local, national, and international levels.
As a member of the Advisory Board of Eminent Persons on Zero Waste to the UN Secretary-General, it is my responsibility to raise awareness and implement projects that promote zero waste. One of my projects is the reusable sanitary pads project. This is a great example of waste elimination, as the pads can be washed and reused.
Let us take a moment today to reflect on our waste management practices and, in doing so, contribute to the preservation of our planet. #Lobi
