In connection with the inauguration of the new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Lin Ji, and the celebration of this year’s Chinese New Year, the First Lady was invited, along with President Chandrikapersad Santokhi, to a reception. This was held in the Ballroom of Royal Torarica.
During the reception, various notable figures were present. A toast was made to the success of the new ambassador and to a strong relationship between Suriname and the People’s Republic of China.
