After a long wait, the collection of poems “Mama” has been released. With the launch of this collection, in which more than 30 poets contributed, the First Lady wanted to stimulate another dimension of talent. In the context of empowerment and encouragement of talent, 150 years of Hindustani Immigration, 160 years of Keti Koti, 170 years of Portuguese from Madeira and 170 years of Chinese Immigration, it was decided to produce this edition, with the theme of love for mother or mother figure and Mama Sranan.

In the previous editions of “What’s Your Talent” young people with any form of talent could participate, be it dance, singing, ICT or creative expression. For this special edition it was decided to go a step higher and give poets the opportunity to write down their love for mother or mother figure and Mama Sranan. “Not only do we grow as an organization, but the participants also grow with us. We have noticed that the participants of previous editions have come out of their shells and have actually developed their talents after participating in “What’s Your Talent”.”
