President and First Lady guest at reception 10th Anniversary CTG’s Country Office

At the invitation of the Ambassador of France to Suriname and Guyana and the President of the Collectivité Territorial of French Guiana, President Chandrikapersad Santokhi and First Lady Mellisa Santokhi-Seenacherry attended a reception. This in connection with the 10th Anniversary of the CTG’s Country Office in Paramaribo.

As a show of sympathy, a minute of silence was observed before the start of the reception in connection with the tragic incident in the Matawai area, in which many lives were lost as a result of the collapse of a gold mine.

In support, a group of French people came to Suriname to help with the mine disaster. This once again proves the good relationship that Suriname and France maintain with each other. “I am extremely grateful to the French for this support.” #Love
