In connection with the working visit of president Chandrikapersad Santokhi and first lady Mellisa Santokhi-Seenacherry to the Nickerie district, the first lady distributed packages in the morning of Sunday, January 29. She was assisted by her team, with the help of DNA member Harriët Ramdien and several DR and RR members. Distribution took place door to door and was in the Tuinbouwkavel Project, the Groentenweg and the Statenweg. A total of 450 families were made happy with such a food package. The first lady is aware of what the different neighborhoods have to contend with. These issues have been discussed with the DNA member and the DR and RR members present. That is why she did her part by lending a hand in the form of a food package.
