On Tuesday 20 December, more than 150 blood donors were decorated and celebrated at the Presidential Palace. Giving blood is an act of love and this group of blood donors proves it every time they donate blood. It was a special moment for the First Lady to hand over the decorations to the recipients.
The blood they have is never enough. The National Blood Bank Foundation of the Surinamese Red Cross is still looking for more blood. . “I hereby call on everyone, especially young people, to volunteer at the National Blood Bank to become a blood donor. This is how you can save people’s lives!”
“I would like to congratulate and thank all the honorees for their noble deeds, and I hope that they can donate blood several more times and save more lives.”
